Key BT Program
The Pitt County Educational Foundation sponsors the Key Beginning Teacher (BT) Program.
Key BT Mission: To engage and empower our innovative, creative, and effective BTs as collaborative leaders
What is the Key BT Program?
The Key BT program is designed to identify highly effective Beginning Teachers; to train and support them to become collaborative leaders with other Beginning Teachers. The Key BT Program focuses on four main areas of support: Orientation, Training, Resources, and Advocacy. Identified Key BTs serve as the keystone to a three year arch of supporting all beginning teachers. Participants are selected at the end of either their first, second, or third year of teaching and the training occurs the following year, when they receive specialized training in how to support other beginning teachers.
